RACING fanatic, Ismail Samin, got more than he bargained for when he decided to bring his 3 boys to the Sepang 1000 KM which flagged off at noon today. Not only did they managed to catch an exciting race featuring 28 of the best production cars in Malaysia circling the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) for 9 hours non-stop, Ismail, 42, was overjoyed after being among the lucky race goers to purchase 10 exclusive Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix tickets at an unbelievable price of RM100!
  PROTON R3 Racing Team is on course to finish the season in style as they made it a 1-2 after a rain hit qualifying session in Class 2 the Sepang 1000 KM held at the Sepang International Circuit today.

Mission Completed The minute they held their trophy, Team Ultra Racing Kegani #36 knew they had created a moment in history when they won the Sepang 1000km Endurance Race in their Toyota. It was a long journey for the team, as they had put in extra effort in their preparations for the race after witnessing last year’s extreme disappointment. Thus, instead of dwelling on their disappointing performance last year, the team had turned it into a motivation point, making them hunger even more for victory.
With a mission to take Malaysian motorsports to a new level in 2011, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) will be introducing changes including some massive ones to its racing events that included rescheduling of the 12-hour endurance race and the Sepang 1000 Kilometer Endurance (SIK).
Almost a Fairytale Ending for Type R Racing   Six days before the official scrutineering of the 2010 Sepang 1000-kilometer Endurance Race (S1K) on June 3, disaster struck upon the defending champion – the winning 1800cc Honda Integra DC for Type R Racing Team was completely destroyed when it caught fire.
