Sepang International Circuit Presents Cheque for Charity 10 Days of Charity

Sepang International Circuit (SIC) passed a cheque worth RM20,000 to the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, fulfilling the company’s pledge done in conjunction with the recent Shell Advance Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix 2009.

The event marked as the most successful MotoGP race held in Malaysia with the highest attendance of  102,255 fans over the three day period (23rd to 25th October) since 1991.

The cheque was presented by SIC CEO Razlan Razali to the Head of Corporate Communication, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Thomas Rainor Ralon.

SIC pledged to put RM10 from 2,000 ticket sold on the last ten days counting down to the Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix on 24th- 25th of October for an aid fund intended for victims of natural disasters in Indonesia and Philippines.

“As we have pledged earlier on, our corporate social responsibility goes beyond borders, as we represent the centre of international motorsport in this region including Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and even all the way to the Philippines, so does our reach to put out a helping hand to lighten the load on the victims,” said Razlan.

Next year’s Malaysian round of MotoGP race will be on 10-10-2010, lots of exciting on and off track programs are already being planned to make it even better than this year, so motor racing fans in this region, mark that date on your calendar and get ready for this spectacular race.

But coming up next in SIC is the 3rd race in 2010, which is also known as Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix. Tickets are available at SIC ticket counter and KL Central, ticket agents are already activated for fans from overseas and tickets will also be online by December 2009.

Price starts at RM500 for Grandstand seats, RM100 for Hill stands and early bird gets a super deal with 50% off for 2nd ticket purchase.
