Catch The Chill And Thrills Of The Flame Spitting Sepang Drag Battle

Catch the flavor of Drag Race on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Sepang International Circuit. Once again drag battle will come live to drag fanatics in Malaysia. Watch thousands of people cramming the grandstands just to get a feel of powerfully modified street cars. Don’t forget the gorgeous ladies that usually accompany the race hanging out at the paddock along with some of the most powerful drag cars in country.

The first round saw more than 100 participants taking part in 7 categories from the exciting category A open to all cars to the local flavors in category G for Campro powered cars.

Cars like the turbocharged Mazda RX7 and Mitsubishi Evolution are some of the entries in the A category which is allowed to run practically any modifications such as nitrous oxide or NOS and slick tyres.

“As usual the Sepang Drag Battle is always an exciting event for motorsports fans to come and watch especially getting to see how the local grassroots teams modify their machines to go faster,” said SIC Media Manager Irwan Rahman.

“Drag fans with their state of the art machines must send their entries before 07.00 pm on the June 26, 2009.

For sure this event will give some international flavor to our local race calendar” he added.

The Drag Battle has become yearly event to Sepang Circuit which drivers race their cars down a 400 meters strip in a straight line.

Entry to the event is as cheap as RM10 per person to the Grandstand or if you want to get closer to the cars at the pits its RM50 per person.

Parking for cars is RM5 for cars and RM2 for bikes. The event is estimated to start around 8pm and finished late.
