Takashi Kogure of Team Takata Dome NSX clocked the fastest time in official free practice at the Super GT International Series Malaysia 2008 today, confirming the Honda NSX supremacy around the 5.543 Sepang Circuit.
Clocking 1 minute 55.702 seconds in the hot and humid evening session for the GT500 categoruy, Kogure was 0.292 seconds faster than another Honda NSX driver, Toshihiro Keneishi from Real Racing with Leon who clocked 1 minute 55.994 seconds.
German's Michael Krumm, who was among those said that Sepang Circuit best suited the NSX was third fastest in his Nissan GT-R machine, clocking a time of 1 minute 56.096 in the first session 90-minute beginning from 11.30am.
In the GT300 category, Ryohei Sakaguchi of Team Ebbro Uematsu NOVA was fastest in his VEMAC RD320R machine; clocking a time of 2 minutes 08.638 seconds in the first session.
Qualifying would be held tomorrow with the race scheduled at 4pm on Sunday.
