Malaysian Super Series Bulletin - Round 2

Round 2 . 15th -17th May 2009

1. Loading of equipments.

Learning from what happened from round 1, we still found vehicles been parked on the paddock lanedespite the warning and restriction from security personnel. Nevertheless, we recognize the needs forvehicles to be inside the paddock lane for the purpose of loading off parts. Therefore, MSS Managementwould like to request all participants to make sure all loading off bikes/parts to be done BEFORE 9.00a.m. and after 4.00 p.m on both Saturday and Sunday.

However, on certain unavoidable cases, we still allow vehicles which carry parts to enter paddock laneprovided that these vehicles MUST leave immediately after loading or uploading is done. For thisscenario, Paddock Lane passes will be given and need to be displayed on the inside of the windscreenand permission to enter is only given if the person on the vehicles carries crew passes. The registrationnumbers of these vehicles will be taken by security personnel upon entering and 15 minutes are given tothis vehicle. Security personnel will make sure every vehicle leaves after the given period. Stern actionwill be taken to errant vehicles without valid reason and this vehicle will be denied entrance intopaddock lane during next day/ round of MSS 2009.

2. Registration Tent

In order to smoothen out process of registration and purchasing of pit-lane pass, a utility tent will beerected at Post 1 (parking area on the left hand-side upon approaching tunnel to paddock). This tent willbe utilized as:

  1. Center for registration and payment of MSS race cars/bikes.
  2. Center for purchasing of pit-lane pass for MSS crowd.
  3. Center for media (journalist/photographers) to collect media passes.
  4. Center for freelance photographers to buy service road pass (limited).
  5. Center for visitors to buy parking coupon.

3. Spectators

As what been introduced in round 1, spectators will be placed at the comfort of air conditioned PaddockClub 3 located at the main paddock building free of charge. Anyone who needs tag that granted anaccess to the pit-lane area need to obtain a pit-lane access tag at RM 50.00 per tag (must be 16 years oldand above) at registration tent before tunnel.

4. Booth at paddock club 3

There will be food and merchandise booth at Paddock Club 3. We welcome any party who wants to putup their booth at this area and they can do so by contacting Mr. Sanjay at (012-2062484). Grand standwill be fully closed during MSS except for special cases.

5. Entrance gate and parking bay

Racers, team members and media will be allocated parking area at P1 and spectators at P2. Parkingcharges for spectators is RM 5.00 per entrance for cars and RM 2.00 for bikes.

6. Team paddock charges

Normal rate apply for team who need to use Team Common Room (TCR) and Team Office (TO). For TCR,the charge will be RM 500.00 during the course of the event. For TO, the charge will be RM 200.00during the course of the event. An additional security deposit of RM 500.00 is required and will berefunded upon completion of race when SIC race management officials is satisfy that TCR and TO are ingood condition as per before race.

7. Track Photographers

Accredited media photographers are allowed an access into service road provided they get the specialphotographers tabard at media centre with refundable deposit of RM50.00. Freelance photographersare allowed an access into service road with a fee of RM 50.00. Photographer’s vehicles are allowed (butin limited numbers) an entrance onto service road provided they do not obstruct recovery vehicles.

8. Mode of payment

Starting this year, SIC will receive payment for registration and renting of track facilities (TCR,TO,Pitlanepasses) via credit apart from normal cash.
