Syukri Is Back With A Vengeance
16 July 2009, By Sepang International Circuits
It’s the third round of the Sepang Drag Battle series and more action is expected as Mohd Syukri Mohd Nor is back with a vengeance.
Syukri failed to participate on the last round, round 2 of the Sepang Drag Battle as he blew his engine on the free practice run.
Prior to that round Syukri managed to get fourth in class A and third in class B with his heavily modified pink Proton Satria
“I’m coming back this round and hopefully not only to get to finish the race but maybe finish in the top two in both classes,” said Syukri.
He added that the mechanical problem with his car have been identified and rectified, hopefully it will not haunt him at the race.
The Sepang Drag Battle is an exciting event where two cars will go and race each other in a straight line for 400meters with the first car that crosses the finish line first wins the race.
There are seven categories from the open class or A class which is open to all modifications to the standard Campro class or class G.
The race will start around 9pm but motorsports fans are advised to get here early.
Flagging off on Saturday 18 July, don’t miss this action packed event this weekend. Tickets are sold at RM50 for Pit area while the grandstand seats are going at RM10.
Parking for cars is RM5 for cars and RM2 for bikes.
